Notes :

Very good dive dont go to cyprus without visiting her me and my buddy alex had photo taken makes us want to go back every week Zenobia was on her maiden voyage to Syria carrying articulated lorries loaded with a variety of cargoes from eggs to air conditioning units. Steering problems caused her to put into Larnaca Harbour where it was found that there was a problem with the computerised ballast system. She was towed into deeper water while engineers worked on this but they were unable to fix it and she developed a 45 degree list. Despite the captain\'s pleas, permission was refused to tow her back into Larnaca as her size would have effectively blocked the port. She sank over the following 2 days. No salvage has ever been permitted and there is a strict no take rule. Viz is approx. 20m and the ship is now a place to see grouper and barracuda.

Great Wreck. Only dived it twice and the dives were spoilt because I had to surface both times, with a 'holiday diver' who quickly ran out of air. It turned out he was niether qualified or experienced enough for a dive to 38m. Choose the dive facility carefully, i.e., one that checks divers credentials.

I have just come back from working at Scuba napa and have dived the wreck several time. The Zenobia was my first wreck dive and i would recomend it to everyone. You are not allowed to enter the wreck anymore but you dont really need to.

Done about 25 dives on it myself and still didn't manage to see all of it. Left cyprus in '94 and the doors on the side had just been opened up(bummer!!) a week before. 3 car decks but beware of oil/fuel leaks in lower 2 car decks, makes a mess of your kit. Octoupus diving centre is the best, Ian Mac knows it extremely well and is a good lad (well, for a scouser anyway). Superb for night diving as well. Regards, SADS 961

you could see the boat without even getting in the water, because the viz was 30m that day! Massive wreck, needs 10 dives minimum to get it in yer head

This is one of the best dives in the Med. It starts from a min depth of 16-18 mtrs and goes to a max depth of 40-42 mtrs. This wreck offers alot to almost any type of diver from an advanced basic to a master diver. However DO NOT attempt to penitrate the wreck if you ar enot wreck qualified as many ppl have died. I have over 300 dives on this wreck in the past 3.5 years and in that time I have knowledge of atlest 4 deaths. So please becareful and dont dive beyond your training. There are alot of grouper and baraquda in the summer months and the water temp runs from about 16c in the winter to a warm 28c in the summer. Great diving
