HMS Royal Oak was sunk by U47. 800 of the crew died and it is a war grave. I don't have the exact position.

I'd recommend anybody planning a trip to go through Orkney Divers - they may not be the best,
I dont know, but I had nothing to complain about after 10 days up there. In fact, I was very sorry
to leave all those lads and lasses behind.
The Murray Arms Hotel in St. Margarets Hope is the best pub in the Orkneys (my personal opinion
of course)

The ships telegraph can be seen through the slits in the forward fighting control tower.

Thinking of diving here in August 98, what recommendations
do seasoned divers have. Presently dive in cold water in
Ontario Canada temp 45-70 F

text any info on the battleship sunk at scapa flow by U47? The wreck isn't listed, or was it salvaged by the Royal Navy?

The Dresden lies on her port side. Access to the innards is unrestricted as the Deck has seperated
from the hull just aft of the hawser pipe. This means that the bow section can be penetrated although
the deck hatches lie shut.
