We are a new dive site in the East
Yorkshire area. We have two lakes at the site the larger of which
has around eight acres of water hence the name. This lake has a
maximum depth of fourteen and a half metres and contains various
wrecks, platforms and swim throughs.
We have on site plenty of parking close to the waters edge, warm
dry changing facilities, toilets and we are able to provide hot
and cold drinks and snacks. Our smaller lake covers around five
acres of water and has a maximum depth of eleven metres, we have
wind-surfers and sailing boats for hire for use on this lake and
you are welcome to bring your own. The large lake can be hired for
the full day ask for details, for parties, BBQs, training etc.

Excellent visibility at the moment,
those of you who have dived here before will appreciate the visibility
on the Junk you can see the full length and can see all the drop
offs and contours to the lake bottom. Items have been recovered
from the lake bottom if you have lost something and can describe
it fully we will gladly return it to you. We have DPVs for hire
(sea-scooters) and for sale at excellent prices ring for details.
The Trout are now visible and seem indifferent to our divers. If
you visited us earlier in the year it would be well worth a re-visit.
We aim to cater for a maximum of around thirty divers per day so
we are taking telephone bookings only please. 07891 281214 Anytime
We are open seven days a week by prior arrangement, telephone bookings
only. We will be open any night for diving but would require a minimum
number of divers. Parking is right along side the lake and we have
toilets, heated changing rooms and can provide hot drinks and snacks.
We have cylinders for hire at four pounds, full of course. We are
hiring out torches and we are happy to help out with loan of fins,
masks, and weight belts if the need arises.
Prices
We are charging at just 10 pounds per diver per
day. You can join the Eight Acre Dive Site Club to avoid the filling
out of a registration form each visit, ask for details when you
arrive.
Water temperature update. We currently have a water temperature
of twenty-three degrees and visibility 10 metres +, ask when booking
and no algae bloom. Night diving is available, try coming after
work on an evening; you can get two dives in. We have done several
now and all have been a great success. We are getting busy on weekends
so it is wise to book early. We now have under-water scooters for
hire which I have to say are great fun, wind-surfers and sailing
boats. Just a quick thank-you to all the divers who have visited
us, we hope you enjoyed yourselves, Cheers Dave & Michelle

Plane sunk
Thanks to all for coming to the sinking BBQ party. We hope
you had a great evening and got home safely. I have dived the
plane today and I am pleased to say I think you will enjoy this
new attraction to the lake. It is sitting pretty much as I wanted
it to in 14m of water. We have added two full size horses for
racing find them if you can.
Thanks to The Dive Station, Wet Dreams Watersports, Ralph Tech,
Heritage Landscapes and Dave Leighton for their support. Thanks
to all the helpers on the night with parking and ticket sales.
Dave & Michelle.
