hi doc. i have just been diagnosed with type2 diabetes can you still dive.

Thanks for the query.

Diving is still possible with diabetes, but it does require you to make some adaptations to your diving, and to be assessed by a doctor knowledgeable in diving medicine to ensure you will have no problems. Specifically you need to be free of complications, and know how to run your blood sugars so that you do not suffer a low sugar episode underwater.

So see your local dive doc for a check up and go from there.
